Mechanical Design Process Team Leader

Job Description

1. Participate in the preliminary bidding stage of the client, provide feasible technical solution support, and improve the feasibility and competitiveness of the solution;

2. Organize the responsible persons of each functional block of the project within the department to conduct a total workload assessment of project technology, and submit personnel arrangement of various types of work to the department;

3. As the main technical window for external communication with customers, coordinate various functional blocks to carry out technical work in an orderly manner internally;

4. Responsible for the process design, production, organization of on-site survey and mapping, and verification of results for the project. Design, evaluate, communicate, and confirm process plans for infeasible or optimized solutions;

5. Responsible for communicating and controlling the progress of outsourced design for the project, supervising and controlling the quality of subcontracted or personnel design involving risk management work;

6. Responsible for clarifying the equipment brand in the project, as well as communicating, confirming technology, placing orders, and tracking the complete set of equipment in the project;

7. Control the overall project design progress and working hours, strictly approve various types of working hours generated in the project, and timely record abnormal design working hours;

8. Organize and manage various review meetings, take the lead in handling and resolving difficult technical issues, and manage open issues at various stages of the project;

9. Responsible for Q&A and ECR management related to machinery in the project, as well as organizing, submitting, and managing technical deliverables at various stages of the project;

10. Organize project technical personnel to conduct Lesson&Learn summaries related to mechanical, simulation, and process technology;

11. Collaborate to participate in equipment and technical research designated by the department, guide engineers in designing and train new employees, actively cooperate and complete other work tasks arranged by superiors.


Job Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree or above, major in mechanical engineering; Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant work experience or associate degree or above with at least 6 years of relevant work experience;

2. Have excellent English communication skills and can directly communicate with clients in English;

3. Priority given to technical management of BMW projects;

4. Able to independently manage the cost, quality, and schedule control of the BIW vehicle project, and able to guide others or outsourcing to complete the project;

5. Possess good communication and coordination skills, as well as a certain sense of teamwork, proficient in communicating with project managers and clients;

6. Have a certain understanding of the supply cycle and price of externally purchased parts, which can guide the team to choose the optimal solution to complete the project.
